Florida Lottery Show Van

Throughout the year, the Florida Lottery participates in local events and radio remotes across the state, providing community outreach and support. Taking part in these events helps the Lottery to increase public awareness of the Lottery's commitment to education. The following is a listing of events where the Florida Lottery is participating.

January 15 – 31, 2016
South Florida Fair, West Palm Beach

The South Florida Fair is one of Florida's top-rated fairs. This seventeen-day event includes amusement rides, concerts, agriculture shows and much more! The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games.

January 26 – 27, 2016
SnowBird Extravaganza, Lakeland

The Lakeland Center in Florida will play host to the annual Snowbird Extravaganza, one of the largest mature lifestyle events in North America. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games.

St. Andrews Mardi Gras, Panama City

The St. Andrews Mardi Gras is the oldest and largest Mardi Gras celebration in the Panhandle and draws a crowd of over 50,000 into Historic St. Andrews for the annual two day all-weather event. 2016 will mark the 18th Annual St. Andrews Mardi Gras in the walking waterfront district of Historic St. Andrews. St. Andrews Mardi Gras has a long track record of providing community improvement funding and volunteers for tangible improvements in the village. In years past, proceeds from the festival have been used to purchase playground equipment for Trousdale Park and water and electrical improvements in Oaks by the Bay Park. The ShowVan will be one of three stages at the event.

Port Salerno Seafood Festival, Port Salerno

The Port Salerno Seafood Festival started as a fish fry party at the docks in Port Salerno. In 2006, while Port Salerno was in the midst of redevelopment, the event was created and held in the Old South Florida Fishing Town to boost the economy of the area. That first Seafood Festival was a success and attendance has grown steadily ever since. Now over 35,000 people attend this one day event each year. The event includes a food drive, children's area, food booths, and live music on two stages. The Festival is hosted each year by The Port Salerno Commercial Fishing Dock Authority, Inc., a not for profit formed July 13, 2004. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games.

February 4 – 15, 2016
Florida State Fair, Tampa

The Florida State Fair welcomes visitors to the first state fair of the year. Animal lovers can explore the agricultural exhibits with over 6,000 animals, everything from baby chicks to Llamas. Whether you love white knuckle rides or family friendly, you'll find over 100 rides on one of the largest midways in the United States. Attendees of the fair can sample traditional fair foods or the latest concoctions; everything from Ramen Noodle Burgers to Bacon Ice Cream. The Florida Lottery will have sales booths on site for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games. The sales locations are located in the Exposition Hall and on the Midway!

February 19 – 21, 2016
Edison Festival of Light Crafts on the River and Night Parade, Ft. Myers

Fort Myers has been celebrating Thomas Edison and his contributions to the area since1938. The event acknowledges the area's continuing history while strengthening its economy and culture in the community. The Florida Lottery participates in two aspects of the festival, Crafts on the River and the Grand Parade. Crafts on the River is a three-day festival at Centennial Park. The park hosts over 100 exhibitors, food vendors, a concert venue and the Florida Lottery sales booth. The festival ends with the Grand Parade, which is one of the largest night parades in Florida and features more than 140 participating units, floats, bands and special marching units. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site at Crafts on the River for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games. Look for the Florida Lottery float in the Festival of Light Night Parade.

March 11 – 13, 2016
Weeki Wachee Swamp Fest, Weeki Wachee

The Weeki Wachee Swamp Fest is a fundraiser for, and organized by the Weeki Wachee Crime Watch and Hernando Environmental Land Protectors. The event features Swamp food, swamp music, and over 150 arts and craft vendors. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games.

March 17 – 20, 2016
Gatornationals, Gainesville

The Gatornationals is an annual National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) national drag racing event held each March at Auto-Plus Raceway in Gainesville, Florida. The event was held for the first time in 1970. The traditional East Coast opener and the season's first of 16 events for Pro Stock Motorcycle riders and first of 10 for NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series racers moves back to the second spot on the calendar. The event is one of the sports most revered with a rich tradition of history-making performances. This hallowed ground has entertained spring-break-loving fans for decades with such notable occasions as the first 260-mph Top Fuel and Funny Car runs in 1984 and the first 270-mph and 300-mph Top Fuel passes, in 1986 and 1992, respectively. Its 675-foot concrete launch pad is one of the longest on the tour. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games.

Triple B Blackwater, Bluegrass & BBQ Festival, Crestview

The Triple B BBQ event held on Main Street in Downtown Crestview, is host to several BBQ cook-off competitions in a variety of categories. Attendees can enjoy a variety of booths that include food, and arts and crafts vendors. Bluegrass bands perform throughout the day on the Florida Lottery ShowVan.

April 1 – 2, 2016
Springtime Tallahassee, Tallahassee

Springtime Tallahassee is dedicated to the promotion of Tallahassee’s natural, historical, and cultural assets. The event is billed as one of the largest festivals in North Florida with an attendance of over 250,000. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games.

April 22 – 24, 2016
Pompano Beach Seafood Festival, Pompano Beach

The Pompano Beach Seafood Festival is one of the oldest and most popular outdoor beachfront festivals in South Florida. The event hosts over 150 food and arts and crafts booths. Local bands are also featured as part of the family friendly atmosphere of the festival. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games.

April 23 – 24, 2016
Pioneer Days, High Springs

Pioneer Days has been sponsored by the High Springs Chamber of Commerce since 1977. The event is family oriented and includes 70 vendors with handmade arts and crafts, food vendors, western/pioneer themed live entertainment and a pioneer heritage village with educational demonstrations. The event is located near the Chamber of Commerce Museum that houses a train exhibit, a Black History exhibit, a to-scale town layout 3-D replica, and a quilt showcase. The Florida Lottery ShowVan will be the main stage at the event.

Navarre Fun Fest, Navarre Beach

Navarre Fun Fest celebrates its 32nd Anniversary this year with live music, entertainment, food vendors, more than 50 arts and crafts vendors, and a children's area throughout the 2-day free event. The ShowVan serves as the main entertainment stage for the event.

Pensacola Crawfish Festival, Pensacola

The annual Pensacola Crawfish Festival is one of the largest crawfish boils in Florida. The event is held on downtown Pensacola's beautiful waterfront at Bartram Park. This is a three-day festival that boasts fresh, spicy crawfish, authentic live bayou country entertainment and arts-and-crafts tents featuring local and regional artists. May 20 – 22, 2016
Cuba Nostalgia, Miami

Cuba Nostalgia is a three-day event showcasing Cuban life, customs, and heritage. Exhibits include vendors selling Cuban theme items, memorabilia, art galleries, and artists. There is also live music and traditional Cuban food and drinks. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games.

Blue Crab Festival, Palatka

The Blue Crab Festival is an annual event held on Memorial Day weekend. The free, four-day festival includes a parade, carnival rides, live music, arts and crafts, and a variety of commercial vendors set up along the newly renovated riverfront in downtown Palatka. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Florida Lottery games.
