Florida Lottery Show Van

Throughout the year, the Florida Lottery participates in local events and radio remotes across the state, providing community outreach and support. Taking part in these events helps the Lottery to increase public awareness of the Lottery's commitment to education. The following is a listing of events where the Florida Lottery is participating.

February 5 – 16, 2015
Florida State Fair, Tampa

Admission into the fair includes: parades, horse shows, livestock competitions, roving entertainers, concerts and fabulous Fair food. The Fair is also a showcase of the best our state has to offer that includes an outstanding concert series with a wide array of popular acts to please visitors of all ages and musical tastes. On the 319-acre Florida State Fairground site in eastern Hillsborough County, it's a family friendly, clean and safe tradition for more than a half million people each year. The Florida Lottery will have sales booths on hand for players to purchase their favorite Lottery games.

February 6 – 7, 2015
St. Andrews Mardi Gras, Panama City

St. Andrews Mardi Gras Parade and Festival is the oldest and largest Mardi Gras celebration on the Panhandle and draws a crowd of over 50,000 to Historic St. Andrews for the annual two day all-weather event. It offers an abundance of family-oriented activities such as Kids/Pet Parade, Main Parade, Kids Ball, Golf Tournament, Drawdown, Bunko and many more to attract fun-loving people of all ages. The Krewe of St. Andrews gives back to the community by contributing to several local charities and to local college scholarships. The Krewe has donated over $50,000 to many charities over the years. The Florida Lottery ShowVan will be on-site as the main entertainment stage for the event.

Gold Rush Family Scratch-Offs, Listen to Win
Pensacola, Tallahassee, Orlando, Tampa, Ft. Myers, West Palm Beach, and Miami

A series of Listen-to-Win promotions will be conducted in all districts to promote the Florida Lottery's Gold Rush Family of Games Scratch-Off tickets. The promotion is structured to prompt listeners to listen for the cue and be the "Nth" caller to win a daily prize of one book (60 tickets) of the $5 Gold Rush Scratch-Off (valued at $300). There will be one winner per day, per district, for five days for a total of 45 winners.

Daily Prizes

  • 1 book of Gold Rush Scratch-Off tickets (Valued at $300)
  • TOTAL DAILY PRIZE VALUE ($300 per day x five days): $1,500 per district.
  • GRAND TOTAL: $15,000

This 5-day event held in three locations – the Miami Beach Convention Center, the New Yacht & Power Boat Show at Sea Isle Marina and Strictly Sail®, and Miamarina at Bayside Marketplace – is your once-a-year chance to compare makes and models, and gear up with the latest accessories all at one time! From the latest in powerboats, sailboats and engines to the cutting-edge marine electronics and accessories to the best in nautical gifts, services and apparel; there's no better time to buy! Beyond the boats and booths, there are special events, attractions and activities to help celebrate the boating lifestyle, offering entertainment for everyone. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Lottery games.

Edison Festival of Light, Ft. Myers

Centennial Park is transformed into a craft lover's dream with over 100 exhibitors displaying their hand-crafts during the three-day Edison Festival event. The annual Crafts on the River is a non-juried event open to local and national artisans and crafters. The event delights in old, new and unique items that come from all over the world. Original designs are displayed by nearly 100 artists in an informal atmosphere that encourages visitors to talk with the artists about their work and, in some cases, see them in action. A large variety of mediums include drawings, paintings, graphics, sculpture, crafts, jewelry, photography and edible art. The range of assorted size, subject, media and price, provides something for everyone and is created by the artists you meet at the event.

Attendees enjoy a beautiful setting in the green space along the Caloosahatchee where the three-day event takes place prior to the Grand Parade. The Florida Lottery will have a Float in the Grand Parade and a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Lottery games.

February 23 – March 1, 2015
Honda Classic, Palm Beach Gardens

The 2015 Honda Classic PGA Golf Event will be played February 23-March 1, 2015, with Russell Henley defending his title. The Honda Classic awarded a record $2.55 million in charitable contributions in 2014, the eighth straight year the event has increased its charitable distribution to South Florida Children's Charities. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Lottery games.

St. George Island Chili Cook-Off, St. George Island

Held in the center of St. George Island on the public beach, contestants will compete in the largest regional chili cook-off in the nation and vie for a spot in the National Chili Cook-off. The Florida Lottery ShowVan will be the main entertainment stage for this event.

March 12 – 15, 2015
Gatornationals, Gainesville

Gatornationals is a National Hot Rod Association circuit event. It consists of two days of qualifying and two days of racing, and is nationally televised on ESPN. People attend from all areas of the country. Gatornationals is one of the sport's most revered events with a rich tradition of history-making performances. The Florida Lottery will have a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Lottery games.

Crestview BBQ Festival, Crestview

The Triple B BBQ event is held on Main Street in Downtown Crestview. Vendors, crafts, food, jewelry, etc. are for sale. BBQ cook-off competitions in several categories are heating up from the professional BBQ cookers to the Back Yard cookers. Kings and Queens of the grill each will be there cooking their specialty BBQ dish. Two stages will provide live entertainment throughout the day, including some great Bluegrass groups. The Florida Lottery ShowVan will be the main entertainment stage for this event.

Springtime Tallahassee, Tallahassee

Springtime Tallahassee is dedicated to the promotion of Tallahassee's natural, historical and cultural assets. This event is accomplished through the production of the festival and services of community events held during March and April every year. This event is billed as one of the largest festivals in North Florida boasting over 250,000 attendees. The Florida Lottery will have a Float in the Grand Parade and a sales booth on site for players to purchase their favorite Lottery games.

Las Olas Art Festival, Fort Lauderdale
