PENSACOLA WOMAN CLAIMS $50,000 MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE™ PRIZE

TALLAHASSEE -- The Florida Lottery announced today that Holiday MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE™ winner, Myredna Washington, 28, of Pensacola, came forward to claim her $50,000 prize at the Pensacola District Office. In addition to the nine $1 million top prizes, the Lottery also awarded 10 prizes of $50,000, 15 prizes of $5,000 and 2,000 prizes of $250.

According to Washington, she always buys a raffle ticket from Bob's Superette, located at 13120 Lillian Highway in Pensacola. This year she purchased a Holiday MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE ticket as a birthday present to herself and is absolutely thrilled with her winnings.

All Holiday MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE winning numbers are available on the Florida Lottery's Web site, by telephone at (850) 921-PLAY and at Florida Lottery retailers statewide.

Holiday MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE prizes must be claimed within 180 days from the draw date. Players must have their winning ticket in hand to claim a prize. The $250 prizes may be claimed at any Florida Lottery retailer and the $5,000 and $50,000 prizes may be claimed at any Florida Lottery district office. The $1 million prizes must be claimed at Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee. Information about filing a claim may be obtained by calling (850) 487-7707 or visiting www.flalottery.com.

This year's Holiday MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE generated approximately $7.5 million in transfers to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).

Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $20 billion to the EEFT, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.
