NAPLES WOMAN FIRST TO CLAIM $1 MILLION TALLAHASSEE --The Florida Lottery today announced that CASH BONANZA Scratch-Off game winner Diana Eslick, 33, of Naples, claimed her $1 million top prize at Florida Lottery headquarters. Eslick chose the one-time, lump-sum payment for her winnings in the amount of $650,000.00. She purchased her winning CASH BONANZA Scratch-Off ticket from 7-Eleven, located at 7445 Davis Boulevard in Naples. Eslick said she plans to use her cash winnings to pay off debt and start a college fund for her children. The $10 CASH BONANZA Scratch-Off game recently launched on April 13 and features more than $88 million in prizes. Five of the six $1 million top prizes still remain. The overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.31. Scratch-Off tickets may be purchased at any of the instant ticket vending machines (ITVMs) or at more than 13,000 Florida Lottery retail locations statewide. Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $21 billion to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education. # # # |
