LARGO MAN TURNS $10 INTO $1 MILLION TALLAHASSEE --The Florida Lottery announced today that $200 MILLION SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game winner, Steven Heniger, 30, of Largo, claimed a $1 million top prize at Florida Lottery headquarters. Heniger chose the one-time, lump-sum payment option for his winnings in the amount of $725,664.50. He purchased his winning ticket at Pk's Food Store, located at 3200 E. Bay Drive in Largo. The $10 Scratch-Off game, $200 MILLION SPECTACULAR, launched December 30, 2008, and features more than $220 million in prizes. The game has 11 $1 million top prizes remaining, and overall odds of 1-in-3.58. $200 MILLION SPECTACULAR tickets may be purchased at any of the more than 13,000 Florida Lottery retail locations. Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $21 billion to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education. # # # |
