OCCASIONAL LOTTERY PLAYER WINS $1 MILLION IN
MAXIMUM MILLIONS SCRATCH-OFF GAME

TALLAHASSEE--The Florida Lottery today announced that MAXIMUM MILLIONS Scratch-Off game winner Luis Aguilar Jr., 23, of Hialeah, claimed the $1 million top prize at Florida Lottery headquarters.

According to Aguilar, he doesn't play Florida Lottery games often, but said when he does; he prefers to play the $20 Scratch-Off games. "I so was excited I couldn¿t believe it and still can't," he said. Aguilar purchased his winning ticket from LGF Enterprises Inc., located at 4002 W. 12th Avenue in Hialeah.

The $20 Scratch-Off game, MAXIMUM MILLIONS, launched on July 14, 2008, and features more than $190 million in cash prizes. The game's overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.96. Three of twelve $1 million top prizes still remain to be won. Tickets may be purchased at any of the more than 13,000 Florida Lottery retail locations.

Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $19 billion to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.
