RUSKIN WOMAN CLAIMS A $250,000 TOP PRIZE
IN $5 SCRATCH-OFF GAME

TALLAHASSEE--The Florida Lottery today announced that $250,000 SPIN Scratch-Off game winner April Lopez, 36, of Ruskin, claimed a $250,000 top prize at the Florida Lottery Tampa District Office.

Lopez said she hasn't been able to sleep for the past three nights, since finding out she was a winner. "We are making plans for the money, but first we are going to take a trip to Mexico." Lopez purchased the winning Scratch-Off ticket at Fat Boy, located at 601 N. U.S. Highway 41 in Ruskin.

The $5 Scratch-Off game, $250,000 SPIN, launched February 24, and features more than $36 million in cash prizes. The game's overall odds of winning are 1-in- 4.31. Seven of ten $250,000 top prizes still remain. $250,000 SPIN tickets can be purchased at any of the more than 13,000 Florida Lottery retail locations.

Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $19 billion to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.
