IN THE FLORIDA 20X THE CASH SCRATCH-OFF GAME
TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery announces that Robert Bernesby, 20, of Winter Garden, claimed a $1 million top prize in the FLORIDA 20X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $770,000.00.
Bernesby purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 13750 West Colonial Drive in Winter Garden. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $5 game, FLORIDA 20X THE CASH, launched in January, and features 14 top prizes of $1 million, and more than $110 million in cash prizes. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-4.22.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery's portfolio of games, comprising approximately 69 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $871 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2017-18.
