PLAYING THE CASH MONEY SCRATCH-OFF GAME
TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery announces that Randall Wip, 35, of Sunrise, claimed a $500,000 top prize from the CASH MONEY Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He purchased his winning ticket from Mercado Miami, located at the Miami International Airport in Miami.
Wip purchased the ticket while traveling for a business trip, but forgot about it until he was home unpacking, "I found the ticket in my backpack a week later, scratched it, and realized I was a $500,000 winner!"
The $5 game, CASH MONEY, launched in May 2019, and features more than $58 million in total cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $500,000. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-4.07.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery's portfolio of games, comprising approximately 69 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $965 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2018-19.
