WITH THE FLORIDA LOTTERY'S NEWEST PROMOTION
TALLAHASSEE - Today, the Florida Lottery is excited to announce the new Experience Power Play Promotion! Beginning today through Sunday, August 23, for every 20th $4 or more POWERBALL® or POWERBALL with Power Play® ticket purchased statewide, a free POWERBALL with Power Play Quick Pick ticket will be randomly awarded. This promotion gives players the opportunity to experience the POWERBALL add-on feature for free!
The Power Play add-on feature gives players a chance to multiply their winnings up to 10 times, for an additional $1 per play. With Power Play, players can win $2 million for matching the five white balls or multiply their other non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, or even 5 times! When the advertised jackpot is $150 million or less, a 10 times multiplier is also added.
Since joining POWERBALL in 2009, the game has generated more than $2.1 billion in contributions to education statewide. Florida is among the top-selling POWERBALL states in the country, with more than 95.9 million winning tickets sold totaling over $2.7 billion in prizes - including 13 jackpot winners. National POWERBALL drawings are broadcast live, in high-definition, from the Florida Lottery's state-of-the-art draw studio in Tallahassee. Florida Lottery game drawings are broadcast on 17 carrier stations throughout the state.
